Dr. Meiman, Medical Director and CEO, began practice in Cullman in 1975. He has been active in hospice care for over 30 years. Dr. Meiman is board certified by The American Board of Family Medicine and The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is married to Anne and they have 3 children, Jonathan, Meg, and Julie.

Drenda Fowler-Walker, RN
Drenda Fowler-Walker, RN is a Cullman native and a graduate of Wallace State School of Nursing. She has extensive experience in both emergency medicine and hospice. She is married to Shannon and has two daughters, Lydia and Destiny.

Linda Marconi, RN
Linda Marconi graduated Cum-Laude from Wallace State and has been nursing for 24 years. She has experience in psychiatric, surgical, med surg, and management nursing. She is certified in chemotherapy and ACLS. She worked in the ministry for an evangelist in Mississippi for 4 years, and also worked in Georgia and Florida before settling in her home state, Alabama. She loves the holistic approach of nursing and hospice care as she was personally a caretaker for her mother during her hospice care. She is confident that God blessed her with her job at Omega Hospice and she loves her precious patients and their families!

Kathy Cornelius, RN
Kathy Cornelius, RN, graduated with an AND from Palm Beach Community College in 2001. She has experience in cardiac, medical, and med surgical nursing. She has 6 years of emergency medical experience and is currently ACLS, PALS, and BLS certified. She has lived in
Cullman County for 6 years and has 1 son and 4 daughters. She feels honored to be a part of the Omega Hospice team.

Ted Green, RN
Ted Green, RN, began his nursing career after following his dad through a lengthy cancer battle. He began his work in a hospital but feels led to pursue hospice care. He feels that he can relate to his patients and families as he has been in the same situation as they are. He has been blessed with a wonderful wife, Cynthia, and a beautiful daughter, Laura.

Amanda McCormick, RN
Amanda McCormick, RN, is a native of Cullman. She graduated from Wallace State and has been married for over 17 years to Scott. They have 3 wonderful children, Tyler, Savannah, and Lexi. She enjoys working at Omega and feels it is one of the most rewarding jobs that she has been blessed to have.

Karen Gordon, RN
Karen Gordon, RN, has been a nurse for 23 years. She has worked as a hospital nurse, in OB/GYN and Med-Surgery. She was a charge nurse and case manager for several years. She was also a Clinical Nursing Instructor at Wallace State Community College for over 4 years. She has worked in home health care for 8 years. She is married to James and they have 6 children and 4 grandchildren that she dearly loves. She feels that God has led her to work for Omega Hospice and she feels truly blessed to be working here!

Julie Hamby, RN
Julie Hamby, RN, has been happily married to her husband Frankie since 1986. They have been blessed with 3 wonderful children, Kayleen, Eli, and Kylon. She graduated from Wallace State and immediately went to work at St. Vincents. There she has earned ortho, neuro experience. Her entire adult life she reflected on the hospice care her grandparents received and felt called to provide that kind of care and compassion to others. She truly believes that Omega is a blessing to be a part of, whether as a patient, family member, or employee.

Sherry Watwood, LPN
Sherry Watwood, LPN, has been a nurse for 10 years, including 4 years of hospice service. She has 2 children and 1 granddaughter who is the love of her life. Although she waited until later in life to pursue her nursing career, she knew she wanted to be a nurse from the time she was in high school. She considers herself truly blessed to have taken care of so many patients and families and she loves working for Omega Hospice.

Faye Raney
Faye Raney, Hospice Aide, has lived in Cullman most of her life. She has 3 children, Daphne, Bridgett, and Eric. She has 9 grandchildren and is currently a foster mom to a 2 year old little boy and a set of infant twins. She has been fostering for over 2 years and truly enjoys it. She retired from Cullman Regional Medical Center in December of 2010 and came to work for Omega where she has been blessed with wonderful patients whom she loves dearly.

Robyn Tucker, Certified Home Care Aide, has been caring for hospice patients for 12 years. She has been married for 30 years to Tommy Tucker and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She loves her job and looks forward to being with Omega Hospice for many years to come.

Paula Knighten, Home Care Aide, has been in home health care for over 6 years. She enjoys helping and visiting with others. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, their 6 children and 12 grandchildren.

She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where she married Jonathan Knappenberger, a Cullman native. They moved to Cullman in 2008 and she has enjoyed residing here since that time.

Larry Duke, Chaplain, is a native of Cullman County. He is a graduate of West Point High School and attended Cullman College and Samford University Extension. He has been a pastor at several churches in Cullman County over the last 19 years. Currently he is the pastor at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Good Hope. He is married to Mickey and they have 3 sons and 2 grandchildren.

Sonia Norris, M.Div., Bereavement Coordinator, holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University where she studied and focused on illness and end of life care. Prior to working with Omega Hospice, Sonia worked at Project Compassion in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, providing education and resources for individuals and families living with illness, end of life, caregiving and grief. Sonia also has extensive training around supporting people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
